Dh and I have decided to challenge ourselves to do the 30minute meals but some need a frying pan that can go in the oven.
I'm guessing my one is not suitable as or has a plastic handle. So can you suggest one that can go on the oven?

:)

le creuset cast iron ones, expensive but last FOREVER, or I did see some cast iron stuff in Ikea, so look there too, and much cheaper.

Cast iron is a bit too heavy.

Anything else?

I will watch with interest as I'm on the lookout for one to make tarte tatin. A friend has one with a handle that comes off, something like that would be good.

I got one from ASDA (extra special range) which has a metal handle. I knocks the socks of my much more expensive Circulons.

I've got this saute pan from Ikea and have used to make a cake. Pampered Chef also do both non-stick and aluminium pans that can go in the oven.

soppypreggyloon · 06/02/2011 18:52

Hmmm what's the quality on the ikea one like?

On the other hand pampered chef is ££££££!

Oh Soppypreggyloon

The PC one was at 20% off until recently!! If I had seen your post then I could have got it for you much cheaper!

They are pricey buy have a lifetime guarantee on them and an aluminium core so they heat evenly all over so are worth the money. The quality is just amazing compared to the cheaper pans...and the stainless one can go in the oven to 230 degrees.

If you do want to buy one, let me know and I'll send you my web link.
