Hi does anyone know how to at least lessen the grooves made in carpet by funiture. I've tried scrubbing the pile and sucking it up with the vacuum.
Obviously the underlay isn't made out of memory foam.

An ice cube in the divot, allow to melt. Has been known to work.

Proudmumofone · 01/02/2011 09:55

Try covering it with a tea towel and ironing it

put an ice cube in the dent and leave it overnight. If the dent hasn't gone completely, fluff it up with a fork.

x-post molly.

Yep ice cube works.

ThatllDoPig · 01/02/2011 09:57

yes, apparently the ice cube thing really works, just leave one in the dent before you go to bed and voila! in the morning normal carpet!

Wow how quick are you lot, how come I never knew about this? Can't wait to try it tonight, I'm doing it now!
Thanks

did it work?

jenroy29 · 02/02/2011 20:28

Yes, sorry, I did mean to get back with a progress report. The very worst "divot" a 4inch groove made by ds's bed is practically invisible but I can still feel it.
I can't believe that such a simple thing would work.
I wouldn't have tried it if only one person had said about it, it's like withcraft!!
