Pools of water under salad drawer in fridge - dull, but any ideas please?

Hi,

I think I'm being a bit thick because there is no obvious place the water is coming from. I have a built in fridge-freezer and fed up with the water under the salad draws. The fridge temp is 2 degrees.

Any ideas please?

At the back of the fridge - probably in the middle is a little hole. It's blocked. Poke it with a chopstick (waits for someone to wander by and say 'not the pooey chopstick' ).

Could be a blocked drainage thingy... There is a small hole right at the back/ bottom on mine and sometimes it blocks and then I get the same pools of water

fridge is too cold. only needs to be about 5 degrees in summer and 6 in winter.

i have this on good authority from my fridge handbook as i had same problem!

At the back of the fridge? You mean I need to pull it out - it's built in? I'm cringing at my stupidity. I looked inside the fridge (at the back) and turned the temp up to 4...

No pull out all the drawers and there will usually be a v shaped ridge, on the back inside of the fridge

The point of the v will be the drain, poke that with whomovedmychocolate's chopstick.

No on the inside back wall of the fridge behind the drawers/shelf

I can't fit a chopstick in mine.....I usually use a cocktail stick and wiggle it about a bit

Ok, this is probably a very stupid question....but where does the drain actually drain to?

This happens to mine when dh someone doesn't close the door properly.

No idea where the water comes from though

The water drains out of the back into a small tray and then evaporates.

We have the same problem and I've tried to clear the hole to no avail

I wondered where the water goes to, baring in mind the fridge is electric.

Still can't find little hole

use a cotton bud to clean the hole...works a treat (I had a constant puddle (in my fridge!) for 12 months then read a thread on here about cleaning the drain...and the puddle has disappeared. You need to give it a good prod...mine was filthy!
