How do I get blood out of a quilt (not the cover) without taking it to the launderette please?

I was thinking a damn white cloth but not sure.

Saliva will get it out. Not sure how much blood is on it, so you might need a lot of spit. Grin But it makes it completely go away, something to do with enzymes.

Soak in cold water, helps a lot.

Get some of the powdered whitning Oxy BillyBo you buy in tubs from the supermarket, they do colour stuff as well.....just put a failry concentrated amount in warm water and just put the stain in and leave it over night then replace with fresh and soak...rinse and repeat. Ideally if you can qwash the quilt at home it would help after the first soak but the first option would work but take longer
