my mum has always worked full time and done her shopping on saturdays so sunday was her cleaning day and she always did it in her jammies before drssing and going to mass. we lived in the country and no chance of neighbours popping in for coffee at that time on a sunday. but i have noticed that i hated having my shower and getting dressed only to get stuck into cleaning, but i know that if i do it in my jammies, someone will be at the door within 5 minutes of me starting.

what do you do?

sh sorry, crossed posts!

I have an old pair of trackie bottoms and a t shirt that I don't mind if I get bleach spilt on to them. Once I have blitzed the place I will have a shower. Sometimes it is first thing in the morning or it could be mid afternoon after/before word depending what time I'm going in.

If I've worn pjs to clean, I have a bath afterwards, get dressed then wear fresh jim jams to bed that night.

TheMonster · 29/12/2010 10:40

I only wear jimjams for one night anyway.

ZZZenAgain · 29/12/2010 10:41

clothesare clothes in the end. If that's what you want to wear when you clean, it's your business really. If people drop round unexpectedlyand you'd be uncomfortable with them seeing you in your nightwear, I'd wear something else. probably pjs aren't revealing but they might be a bit naff (teddybears etc) or just not feel right, since you don't have a bra underneath and depends how that looks/how you feel about people seeing you like that (with no bra I mean)

I prefer to clean in my pjs too - then chuck them in the wash, shower and get dressed. It doesn't work on a school day though as I can't do the school run without having a shower first.
I also clean out the animals in my pjs, then chuck them in the wash and have a shower, after the day I did the school run and had wood shavings in my hair Xmas Blush

Never cleaned in my pjs. I cant do anything except stumble until I am out of bed, showered dressed and the bed made Smile

I am totally indoctrinated by flylady and love it!

ZZZenAgain · 29/12/2010 11:05

flylady says no cleaning in pjs?

DreamTeamGirl · 29/12/2010 11:46

Flylady says 'dressed to your shoes' as soon as you get up.

Might not work for everyone but it does for me Smile

Carrotsandcelery · 29/12/2010 11:58

DreamTeamGirl I do that during term time but in the holidays we take our time. We are all still in our pjs so far today. Xmas Grin

ILoveItWhenYouCallMeBoo · 29/12/2010 12:35

no, once i have cleaned i have a shower and get dressed properly, jammies in the wash.

i am dressed today in casual clothes taht i don't mind anybody seeing but don't mind getting them grubby either.

No, I don't, as I would hate to desecrate my lovely PJs by using them for something other than their set purpose (sleeping in).

So, I do a complicated ritual of getting up, getting changed into cleaning clothes (old stuff), cleaning (as I prefer showering after having cleaned everything), showering and then getting dressed.
