what could be causing it??? Both jumpers now have holes in them one on the sleeve and one in the front. Its almost like the stitching has come undone iykwim but i cant see any loose thread so don't think he has caught it.Its an expensive jumper and I do not wash it in fabic condtioner as it states not too. its always on a 30c wash. Could it be the machine, moths or something else and if so what percautions should I take!!!

It could be the washing machine. Holes created in the wash are usually about half a centimeter across and almost perfectly circular.
If that's the case, you can wash it inside a laundry net or pillow case to protect it in the future.

There was a thread on here a while ago about mystery holes in tops.

It turned out that they were caused by being caught on the rough edge of granite worktops.

Do you have a granite worktop?

(If not then that piece of information was pretty useless)
