halloween accident with lipgloss may have ruined carpet- help

Hi - at our halloween party someone dropped their black gloss lip stff on floor which got trodden on and squirted over carpet.Stuff from lakeland for carpets makes no difference at all it lookshorrid!! any tips to avoid proffesional cleaning expenses????

there's a vanish carpet stain thingy that's supposed to be good

vanish is very good worked on dark purple nail varnish whis ds spilt on our carpet oh and a bit of time will help i found that i bought a can every month for a bout three months and did it regularly now i can no longer see it. we did look into professional cleaning but they said they wouldnt guarentee it to come out. Also do you have accidential home cover? we didnt at the time but have since and i would defo look into that aswell may get a nice new carpet for what it would cost to get it cleaned depending on your excess

de-solv-it spray is good at getting out tough stains - I used it to get red lipstick off our carpet. I have seen it in tesco and morrisons
