Aaargh!!!! The blooming candle artistically placed on top of our gorgeous pale oak cupboard has just dribbled wax down a front panel. How do I get it off??? I've scraped off the wax carefully with my fingernail but you can still see the "shine" where the wax was. This cupboard is not polished - it's natural finish pale oak - how do I get the mark off???

Scrape it with a bank card :)

I've heard that using a hairdryer and some kitchen towel could work? What do you think?

You've got nothing to lose have you? Give it a whirl :)

OK, bank card has got some more off but can still see the mark. Now off to find my hair dryer...

Well, I'm pleased to report that the hair dryer and kitchen roll method has made a massive difference. I'm just a bit timid and don't want to crank up the heat in case I drive off all the oils and stuff in the wood and create a worse problem.

Any views anyone?
