Thank you all for being so lovely and supportive Smile

Have been a bit rock-in-stomachey today and at one point a wave of it made me actually double up on the train but I spoke to my friend earlier and like she pointed out it had to happen eventually and the sooner it does the sooner I can recover and move on, because let's face it no other man has stood a chance while wc has been in the picture - even as 'friends' there has always been more there.

Have kept myself busy anyway, went to Cardiff for the day. Just needed to go somewhere different, even if I did only come home with a bottle of shampoo Grin

Anon house does sound daunting but think of the end result.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 13/11/2010 18:44

Sorry you lot.... whats 'Range' ?
Freaki agree with JKS. re sense of loss. Go easy. ( didn't even get to cauldron stage Grin so you are just taking care of it yourself) Sending vibes though.

What's cardiff like? I've only been there once but think I didn't get to the main bit. Am about hour and half away.

Not much done today. Trip to Asda, only bought a plastc storage box, too tired to battle through.
Have bought 3 big clip frames with idea of putting exhibition of drawings together. Bit scary though.

Dishy
sort towel cupboard
Christmas cards, presis etc
house filing
admin
training wkend prep
do not a lot

Mini, displaying your drawings sounds very cool. Smile

Range is like a big Wilko's/Woolworths sort of place. Homewares, garden centre, furniture, cookware, seasonal items, art/craft stuff.
In fact if I needed some clip frames and tupperware that's where I'd go!
Ours is the closest shop to us, which is why me and DS go a lot.

Very Envy of your lovely bedroom Plum. Smile

PlumBumMum · 13/11/2010 22:24

Don't be Envy if you had sen how it was before you would have felt sorry for me Grin

Mini go for it, where would you display them? Envyput some on your profile, go on I have been vv brave this week!
I did Art to A level and it was only when we moved here I showed my in-laws my drawings, (they had only ever seen a cartoon only fools pic I had drawn for dh), MIL took one of my GCSE pieces and got it framed it now hangs in my kitchen, no one believes I was only 15 when I did it, although it has been along time since I sat down with pencil & paper except to draw for dcs or cakes

furniture back in done
rug hoovered & in rom done

anonymousbird · 14/11/2010 08:39

Morning all!! DH has buggered up his hand (great Angry) playing rugby, on the day we need to dismantle various pieces of furniture and pack everything other than what we need for the next 4 days.. Also decided that rather a lot of beer would ease the pain Hmm.

Anyway, we are where we are! And he's taken the dog off to clear his head, so at least that is a DONE straight away!

Freaki - well done you, I take my hat off, as it is very brave to take on a situation you know is so tough, but you WILL get through this. And glad you have had a heart to heart with RL friend (though we are always here, you know that!).

Congrats Anon.( silly bugger, not you, the DH)
DH gone off to rememberence service.(ex squady)
So have got a couple of hours to myself.
Wasting would Range be Sheffield some where? I may have to recci.I got 3 big clip frames in Dunhelm 8.99 each. but need some other sizes.
Plum, good idea to take pics. Not sure I know how to get them on profile page though... I will work it out.

WastingAway · 14/11/2010 09:20

I've just looked on the website and there doesn't appear to be one in Sheffield, sorry. Where are you?

anonymousbird · 14/11/2010 09:52

I don't know how to put pics on the profile - maybe I will bore you to death give you a laugh with my dismantled house in a few weeks.... So I should figure it out.

He is covered in bruises, one shoulder is completely swollen, black and blue all down an arm, he can barely move. And his hand is a real mess in the cold light of day. Like we have time to go to A&E?!?!?!? Plonker. He stood in the shower room this morning examining his bruises in the mirror and I heard him say "Oh god, WHY" so I said "Indeed, darling, OH GOD WHY ??????? I've been asking myself all week why a 35 year old man would want to take up rugby for the first time in two decades!!!!" Oh, and he is nowhere near the oldest in the team either. His best mate is 46, and he plays. Crackers.

Anyway, he's taken the DC out now (to mini rugby, rather ironically!) so peace reigns, all I can hear is the gentle hum of the DW, even the bastard darling dog has gone with.. Two hours to myself. And what am I going to do??? A week's worth of ironing and a load of packing! At least there is no point in doing any housework right now Smile. Oh and I can catch up with either Ugly Betty (saddo) or Desperate Housewives without any sniggering, whilst I iron. DH is rather Hmm about my TV tastes. He probably has a point.
