Kitchen Things You Can't Live Without

Just about finished the kitchen extension and writing up an Xmas list of things that I may want for the kitchen. Not large things like appliances but those sort of gadgety things that you see in the Lakeland catalogue (spacesavers, apple slicers etc).

What do you have in your kitchen that you can't live without and/ or absolutely love?

Last week I bought a pack of two bags for toasting sandwiches - a revelation after years of storing and washing up one of the original old metal sandwich toasters.

US cup/spoon measures. I have lovely stainless steel ones from the Lakeland Catalogue. Use them all the time.

shodatin - apparently they're quite good for cooking fish fingers :)

Oh yes, Toaster bags and a four slice toaster - can make fishfinger sandwhich all at once.

BikeRun - my kind of thinking Grin

Dishwasher. Whizzy woo thing for blending soups. Mini chopper - genius - use it all the time for doing breadcrumbs, chopping nuts, chopping onions, garlic and ginger and making blue cheese salad dressing. Those little wiry whisk things. Wooden spoons. Am a recent convert to silicon bakeware. Love my slow cooker. Lots of nice Cath Kidston crisply ironed tea towels. Breadmaker. Decent cauldron/stockpot for witches brew/soup/stock. Greyhound sous-chef. Silicon spatula. Huge American style fridge containing lots of gin, nice wine Blush
