Internet shop - churlish to complain about bndy carrots?

Just done my first internet shop with sainsburys. on the whole very pleased, nice delivery driver, no substitutions, but the two carrot i ordered are completely bendy, seriously, i could probably fashion animals out of them like modelling balloons.

it's a pain the arse & quick frankly a cheek to try and palm off veg that probably has no nutritional value by now.

but they probably cost about 16p so is it churlish to complain? it's not like i even want a refund but i just think the shop shouldn't be selling veg in that state.

Email them and they will refund you... if that helps!

Why on earth would it matter than carrots are bendy? They don't taste any different to straight ones Hmm

MadreInglese · 26/10/2010 11:42

if you mean bendy as in soft and floppy and out of date then yes I would complain

WitchyFlisspaps · 26/10/2010 11:42

Ah - it's dawned on me that you mean like flexible carrots, not ones with a kink in.

I retract my Hmm immediately and replace it with a [hblush]

I think she means bendy as in soft and about to go off witchy rather than curved.

I would complain personally. I don't buy any fruit/veg online though as it is never quite right.

Thanks for the replies :)

Yes, they were so bendy you could almost fold them in half! Don't worry I'm not a carrot fascist!

I did complain & they said they'd pass the feedback onto the store, which was more important than the refund really.
