But I still have a list to make so even if i'm here all week by myself i'm going to carry on! [hblush]
here is the Mission which I will do today as it needs doing! Right off to make the link [hsmile]

hellooo alll

swan great news about DH
have forgotten everything elseBlush

in the midst of horrible week here...

Mon DS2 sent home early fro nursery having been sick....seemed fine the next day though..
Tuesday eve...kids all home from school, all seemed fine. Went to bed...10pm DD4 was sick, 10.05 DD2 was sick, 10.30 DD3 was sick...and so they continued throwing up every half hour ALL NIGHT, with DD1 joining in about midnight![hshock]
In the morning DH was turning a funny shade of green, and DS1 got up and said his tummy hurt, so went back to bed...
I went to work, leaving them all looking not so good under a quilt and DH assuring me he'd be fine!
Got in at 5, to find DH not looking too good, but others recovering!
Then got struck down myself and spent the night throwing up!
Now DC all more or less recovered and me feeling rubbish and DC being very bouncy and annoying!

soooo basically all I've done all week is pass the sick buckets round and wash bedding!
What joy!

All have inset day tomorrow so another day at home - but hopefully feeling better!

Will attempt to catch up in a bit when my brain feels a bit less fuzzy!

swanriver · 21/10/2010 16:04

well at least that's all of them struck down in one day rather than staggered Hmm OFM
But you sound cheery Smile

I do not want this sick bug on holiday, my sister will murder me Grin

have bought large batch of black gloves and hats and some more files for paperworkSmile
now tidying/cup of tea, already feel knackered.Think going to start by throwing all the paperwork back in drawer. and clearing breakfastBlush

SimplySparkling · 21/10/2010 20:48

Hello again all.

Strewth, that's a week and a half OverflowingMum! I hope you're all well on the road to recovery soon.

swan You hit the nail right on the head with your "my sister will murder me" if I'm ill remark! My sisters would me too, I'm sure! I can say this safely now that I know that sis number 1 no longer frequents this thread. Smile

wendy I hope the aches are easing.

Well, today was okay.
~ I cut the grass and did my neighbour's front lawn too and walked her dog at the same time as I walked mine. She was very grateful and she has given me some toffee waffles as a thank you!
~ I faffed about in the launderette as I'd only taken liquid and the sign said powder so I had to pop to the spar leaving my duvets in the care of a student who was trying to read her book only I kept asking questions. Ooops. I hoped to wash 4 duvets but they only had one large capacity machine so I only did 1 before I had to go and collect dd.
~ I posted a parcel for dh as requested, which was pretty important.
~ Dh rang this evening and he has bought a new car. We'll now have an old red one, my silver one and a black one. Our last 4 or so cars have all been silver in colour and from the same maker. The neighbours must think we're boring in the extreme!
~ I've also done 2 loads of washing. I must check the forecast and see if I need to get it in.

That's about it.

Oh, and I'm buying myself some more FLY London Mol boots on ebay as they are soooooo comfortable. I don't care if they are flat and boring looking. I need comfortable winter boots and I find them superb. Okay. That's me done. See you tomorrow if the card game doesn't get me first!

Simply Lol the poor student trying to avoid the responsibility of the four duvets and appear studious.

have finally tidied kitchen, though broom has disappeared/is headless. Thrown myself into making mess worse and clearing veg backlog - I have now made: stuffed cabbage leaves, lasagne, cheat's lasagne with farfalle, peperonata. A bit ahead for weekend.
Dh brought home some flowers to cheer me up Smile And I bought myself some new clothes mainly shapely sweater dresses, so SmileSmile

Tomorrow I will tidy up the main house when I feel a bit more spritely - the mess is really getting us both down although neither of us can face tackling it Hmm

Nuttybear · 22/10/2010 09:53

Morning all (note to self do not go into the MN timewarp!!!)
OFM [hshock] Hope everyone is on the road to recovery. Beats DS's purple puke last week.
Simply Impressed with cut grass have been meaning to do it for weeks! Unlike to happen today or tommorow. Working on Sunday Sad
and you have reminded me have to go to the laudrette too to do quilts.
Swan hope your energy returns, feeling much the same as you! lovely DH [hsmile]
Back in a mo with a list

AngryAngryTHE HOSP ORTHODONTIC dept has cancelled dd's appt which was in the middle of halfterm. Around which I have arranged my plane tickets...
And rescheduled for Xmas hols!!Angry
I suppose I am lucky she is not one of the poor kids in the cranialfacial dept.

I am just cross because I hung on for this appt(referred in June orginally)and it is just so so annoying. And now I've been put at bottom of queue whereas if I'd just been a bit more breezy and asked for Nov appt back in Sept all would have been well.

swanriver · 22/10/2010 13:19

And consultant said it was urgent she be seen in Oct as she might need four teeth out. But consultants are both now unavailable for the once monthly clinic in Oct...so Biscuit
anyway at least she hasn't got toothache
and as I said before no serious health problems like some of the poor souls in that dept.

Deep breath. It's just money.
At least I hadn't booked my xmas tickets. Deeper breath.

Upstairs again Grin

OverflowingMum · 22/10/2010 13:27

nutty and funtimewincies most imrpessive lists...

well, not done much this afternoon...feeling more ill again as day wears on...
I have however done:
2 more lots of washing,
On-line banking (not as bad as I thought!), and have finally finished letter to request statement for DD3, and rung many different departments to find out who to send it to...and gathered all relevant reports, photocopied and put all in envelope, adressed and stamped..now must remember to post!!

now having little sit down (again!!) before organising everyone for parent review appointments....

SimplySparkling · 22/10/2010 17:58

Hello all. Good to see you.

swan Sorry to hear about the postponed app't. I hope you feel well again soon, too. I've probably said before but I was very lucky as here we have two choices, the English medium ss or the Welsh one. The only risk is that the English one is too full to take your dc and they have to go to the Welsh one or else one that is about half to three quarters of an hours drive away. Don't remind me of that poor student having me asking questions whilst she was trying to learn from her equine studies book! Blush

OFM Sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. I hope you're back to your usual self soon.

Top tip. If you are cutting the last slice from the end of the loaf, do pay attention. If you don't then you'll end up with a little finger spouting blood. Yes, I know it's blooming obvious, so why did I still manage to cut myself? Grrr!

Today I:-
~ stayed in for a delivery which didn't arrive. Dh said it was a maybe. At least we can share the staying in if it is due to come tomorrow.
~ did several loads of laundry
~ put one load on the line, brought back in then put it out again with another two loads
~ stripped one bed
~ hoovered some upstairs rooms
~ bought myself a new pair of boots on sale from Office shoes. I think the ebay ones are rather expensive now.

That's about it. I'd better crack on with tea. See you on the w/e or else next week!

Jas · 22/10/2010 18:21

Love the top tip SSSmile Hope your finger is okGrin

I've had two parents evenings, and emergency winter coat shopping today.
Going away for the weekend, but will be back on Monday for the central heating fittingGrinGrinGrin

Won't be FLYing until Tuesday!

OverflowingMum · 22/10/2010 18:56

evening all, back from parent review apps
Good reports all round.
Fish fingers for tea!
Am having glass of wine, which I am not sure is wise...but feel I need one!
Have also posted dd's statement request...so now just have to wait...fingers crossed!
right...see you all tomorrowGrin

funtimewincies · 22/10/2010 20:04

Repeat after me OFM...

Wine is ALWAYS wise [hgrin]
