..from the whole house!
We're moving into a new house in a week, already have the keys and have been in and out to look around/paint etc. It STINKS of stale smoke as the previous tenants were smokers. We and the landlord have had the windows open whenever we've been there, but I fear the smell is probably just stuck in the carpets (lounge, hall, stairs/landing and bedrooms, although less so in bedrooms). It's awful - like a sickly smokey smell that sticks in your nose. What can I use to get rid of it? Can't afford a Rug Doctor or anything, might be able to get hold of an upright Vax, but what should I use in it?
