I had a lovely brushed steel kitchen tap and for some reason my cleaner decided to use viakal on it instead of stainless steel cleaner on it. It is now all tarnished and I don't know what to do. Any tips on how I can fix it?

I wish. I bought some 'Silvo' which mostly fixed it. Phew.

i was going to recommend "barkeepers friend". a one off cleaner i had once used limescale remover on my stainless steel fridge.
it's never been quite the same, but much better than it was.

Didn't know you weren't supposed to use Viakal on stainless steel...have been using it on my sink and not noticed any problems?

viakal is limescale remover. i think it is ok on a limescale stained sink, but not a brushed steel door or tap.

Hi there you can use viakal on steel but you can’t leave it so long , the best thing is to flash it on the clothes and than use it . Also the quality of the steel , if there’s cheap one is will damage . Also be careful with granite it will damage it if you spray strait on it. Never I used bleach and something else anything it will damage :bath toilets . I have been doing it !!!! Was a mess . And be understanding because accident happen when you are doing the job.
