Hi all
Back from France, had a lovely time in the cottage chilling out, then three fab days at Disney - what a fantastic holiday. Kids are Disney mad and playing Toy Story games non stop with their toys. We are bankrupt Grin!

How is everyone? Sounds like new job going well, OFM

Rainy here, not sure what we're up to but it'll have to be free LOL

I am fine, 27 weeks now, feeling massive Shock and gained too much weight on hols, on sugar free diet now! (still eating all the other stuff though!!)

BBL

scattyspice · 24/08/2010 09:58

Sounds like a great holiday wendy! Wow 27wks Shock, thats gone so quick (probably not for you though Hmm). You'll need a break by the time school starts.

Wet here too. Have DC friends for the day, so hopefully everyone will play happily and I can potter undisturbed Hmm.

To do:
laundry
clean up kitchen
phone mum
print photos for album
browse new GAP website

wendyhappysmile · 24/08/2010 15:23

Thanks Scatty, can't believe there's only 13 weeks or less to go Shock!

Children playing nicely most of the time. Made peanut butter choc shortbread slice so sugar ban didn't last long! Grin

wendyhappysmile · 25/08/2010 12:25

Hope you enjoy Toy Story 3 OFM, my two loved it and I cried buckets at the end Grin

Went to bed at 9 pm last night, unheard of for me, I was exhausted. Feeling slightly better today. Managed an hour and a half in the swimming pool with DC this morning anyway! they are happy for the day now.

Off to visit MIL this aft with DC - she has been quite ill with a stomach virus and urinary infection whilst we have been away so haven't visited yet - I saw her the other night myself, though, and she looked ill and her age, iyswim - makes you realise they are aging.

Also off to B and Q with FIL to buy wallpaper border for baby's room - he has one of those OAP 10% off cards on Wednesdays!

Hope all is well with everyone

Makingchanges · 25/08/2010 12:26

Morning all

Wow i don't think I've been on here all week yet. No time to catch up of DH catches me on here he'll been grumpy.

Have been for a run this morning - thought it might wake me up as only had about an hours sleep last night. Still feel tired but too much to do today.

Have been to get DHs ring re-sized. Hes been wearing it round his neck since he lost all his weight and no one has been able to re-size due to two types of gold. We have found a little independent jewellers who says he can and have to pick it up after 2pm today - I'm really worried they are going to ruin it.

Have been a picked up a new printer that can print over 2000 pages out of one ink cartridge (fingers crossed) as it costs me a fortune at the moment and apparently there is alot of printing needed on this course. Also picked up some storage for my new desk area - just need to sort it out and ditch the crap. that is the plan for later.

To do:

  • sort office space
  • Go to shop for shopping
  • Pick ring up
  • Pick DD up for GPs
  • Cook for friends coming around later
  • Find something for lunch

Back later

Plan sounds good Ruby. I just have a list of meals we all like sorted under pasta, rice, potatoes, soup, eggs etc. Then I have a template that I fill in when I've done the shopping, where I pick one or two meals from each section for the appropriate day. That way we don't need to eat the same every Monday as you say. It works for us. I usually shop before planning as then I can buy the offers on the veg etc and plan around what I bought cheap. I used to do it the other way around but found I was getting to the shop and buying the stuff on offer as well as what I had planned for, because it's a bargain! We eat healthily and agree it costs more to do so, and is much more time consuming!

Makingchanges hope you get more sleep tonight!

Anyway, have achieved all I set out to do today, plus a bit more. I am shattered now though! See you all tomorrow

MNTotoro · 25/08/2010 21:30

Wendy - you guessed right.

I have guests coming a week today. Inspired by the recent thread in chat about having houseguests I have completely cleared the spare room, got a basket of toiletries, new flannels and bedding. It's lovely - I wish I could stay in it and lot look at the rest of my house Grin
