Hi everyone,
I am looking for an advice.
I am a single mum living with 3 kids in a 2 bedroom flat on the second floor, no lift. I divorced my ex about 4 years ago, and waited for a council flat in temporary accommodations. I find it really hard with shopping , and 2yo to take 4 flights of stairs everyday. Obviously, I looked into getting my own place, but I don't earn enough, even private rent is crazy expensive now. My question is: can council do anything about it, or can they even provide 2 bedroom flat but on the ground floor?
Thank you. x

If you have 3 children aren't you entitled to a 3 bedroom home from the council? You could ask at the same time to be on the ground floor.

I am entitled to a 3 bedroom house. However. due to shortage of the house, I don’t know how long i will wait. Moreover, I don't have enough points, so, I don’t think i will get anything soon. .
