Hi all, will try to keep this short, does anyone know if you can exchange council houses if you’re gonna be under occupying one room?
I currently have a 2 bed house which I’m under occupying as my child is in my family members care at the moment due to my health being bad. I’m looking to move asap due to needing a fresh start especially from my abusive ex partner who dosent live with me but knows my address and this makes my health worse. If I move it’d need to be another 2 bed as although it’s currently just me my child will be back with me when my health improves so I’d need the room for them wouldn’t want to move to a 1 bed as Id feel like ill never get my child back and it’s hard to get out of a 1 bed. Has anyone been successful exchanging to a house they’re under occupying? Really stressed about it but need to move asap.
