I'm due to do a mutual exchange in less than 2 weeks but have just been emailed by my housing association saying that I need a witness to countersign some document on DocuSign. Can't be a family member or a family member of the person I'm swapping with either. The thing is I don't know anyone who could/would do this. Being fairly new to this area and having been busy with life means I basically have no friends anymore lol, I recently split up with my partner (who I'm guessing would have been classed as family anyway) so that isn't an option either. I don't work so there are no work colleagues I could ask. And I can hardly ask people I barely know. Can I just make someone up or get a family member (with a different surname) to do it or will this not work? I'm really worried I won't be able to move now, I've spent loads of money on it already and hate it here.
