Hey,

so I’ve waited 2 years and bid on every single 4 bed house that has come up and now finished position 1.

we were allocated a bedroom for husband as we can’t share, medical reasons and he’s on PIP enhance.

I am just waiting for the call from the HA it’s been since Thursday morning and no contact yet, how much digging do they do? Is it likely we will be refused for something? Do we resubmit his pip/esa letters, passports ect or do they just read the application the council did then give us a viewing when they are ready?

im so excited at the prospect of having enough space after living in a tiny house for so long but I’m also very anxious about what is to come and that we could get turned down maybe.

so I just wondered what your experiences were? We live in the south west, if that’s any different.

We had this. We're offered a HA house on 30th December, then didn't hear a thing till mid jan. They will more than likely do an affordability check as well.
If you have any rent arrears the HA will usually insist they are cleared before move in also.

From application to getting my keys was about 6 weeks.
the application is more of an affordability check to ensure you can pay the rent
