Hinchley wood/ Thames Ditton

Hi
we are considering moving to HW/ Thames Ditton
and wanted some opinion about the area
how safe? Nice? Busy? Also schools and kids
we have 4 year old and 8 months

we are moving from Kingston and we love where we are just need more space

thinking for longer term as we are not planning on another move especially with the prices

I drive to west London near Heathrow and my husband takes train to London

I made the same move 9 years ago (Kingston to Hinchley Wood) and am so happy we did! Area is super safe, schools are great (my daughter went to Hinchley Wood until last year - we loved it as a school), decent local shops, lots of lovely parks.

We feel it has a much more villagey feel than Kingston, but only a 10 minute drive if you want to be there for shopping.

We have friends who love in Thames Ditton and they also love it; the river walks etc all fantastic!

The Moleseys are nice too. Probably better than Thames Ditton
