Help with selling house contents

Hello, I need to sell/get rid of all the bulky items from my storage by Friday, mainly bedroom and lounge furniture, microwave and if extremely lucky kitchen equipment. Everything has been in storage for some time now, I don't have photos of everything to put on ads online, i won't have a car available to deliver or do a carboot sale. Any ideas what else I could do? Thank you

Local Marketplace? Facebook? Just say contents of storage unit for sale ... 'come and view'

British heart foundation collect furniture (and electricals) for there stores, they might take the job lot.

Depends if you need to sell or whether you can give stuff away

Facebook if selling, take what photos you can on the storage unit and price to go quickly.

If you don't need to sell then BHF or other charity is your best bet

I think you’ll struggle to sell anything without pictures

House clearance company? But they would likely charge you, if there's enough saleable stuff it might be free.

Lochroy · 16/03/2023 09:53

If you're happy to donate it, a charity might take it, other wise you are probably looking at paying someone to take it away, or paying someone to move it, or paying to hire a van.

You'll be lucky to get very much for these items especially not by Friday. Your best bet is probably charity and even then they are sometimes quite picky. Or maybe a house clearance firm.

This was originally posted last June ... I think we can assume the Op is no longer bothered about clearing the house Grin.

Well spotted @Ragwort
