Hi all,
I am currently in band c of the council housing waiting list. I am living with my parents and 2 children but we are really lacking space. My mym bless her is seeping on the sofa and i am just feeling absolutely horrendous about it all. My mum and dad would do anything for me, I am so lucky. They are amazing. But it pains me to see them sacrificing their calm quiet house and space. I am struggling getting a rental due to being on UC and demand in our area. Someone told me that if my parents wrote A letter I might be able to be bumped to band b? Anyone have any idea on this?
My husband walked out on me during my second pregnancy and treated my vile for a long time. It took along time for me to recover from this but I'm really ready to move my life forward but options appear difficult In My shoes :(

The only way you would get moved up bands is if your parents wrote a letter stating you can’t stay there anymore and you will be homeless from x date. You would go through a homeless assessment and May end up in temp accommodation until you could be found a property depending on the demand in your area.
