My daughters (yr4 and yr3), have always had homework since year 1, but as they go up the years it seems to be a ridiculous amount! It's all online, using IXL and they can have 7-9 pieces of Maths/English homework to do, then TTRS and a reading app. Sometimes they fly through, but other times they can be sat at the screen for nearly 2 hours (and nearly always at least an hour), and that's on top of the usual spellings and reading. None of my friends or nieces or nephews have nearly as much homework and some have none at all! So is my school over the top or is this becoming the norm!?! I'd love to know if anyone else's kids have homework like this...
