Ah. Kitchen cabinet. Standard interior with wooden (plywood? - sealed wood) shelves. Onion rotted and created bad smell with brown liquid. Cleaned everything out. Wiped down with disinfectant spray. No joy. Have now wiped with white vinegar solution. Still smells - gross putrid smell. Sorry tmi. How can it persist like this?? Any suggestions? Thank you

Bleach?
Or sprinkle bicarb on it and leave it on for as long as possible before cleaning. I mean days, bicarb absorbs bad smells.

Then just leave a half cut fresh lemon in there for 24 hrs

I’d put the bicarbonate in an egg cup and leave it for a few days
