Cheaper equivalent to Doodle Maths (8-11 year olds)

Morning all. My DC’s primary school has announced that they are cancelling the Doodle Maths app due to the expense of it, and the fact that a lot of children weren’t utilising it.

I have 2 DC (8 & 11 yo) and they enjoy using the app, and I can definitely tell that it has helped with their knowledge of maths (I have dyscalculia and struggle terribly with numbers, so I’m pleased they like and can understand maths problems!).

Is there a Doodle Maths equivalent for cheaper / free? I’ve had a look online and a subscription would be around £13 per month, per child.

I don't know about apps, but here in Ireland, my kids have workbooks for the core subjects for school, and one I really rate is this one (they exist for all the primary school years - and here we stay in primary school one year longer than the UK):

It's like a daily mixed quiz of various little problem solving questions - it's really good, my kids enjoy/enjoyed it - pretty sure you can get them on Amazon too.

Maths Factor -£4.99 a month.

IXL is good and was recommended to us by a teacher. Lots and lots of exercises to do.

Another great option to consider is Math Challenge Pro (Spiral Learning). It’s an engaging, game-based maths app, offering adaptive learning and progress tracking—similar to Doodle Maths but at a more affordable price. It covers core maths skills including 11plus topics while keeping kids motivated with challenges and rewards. Worth checking out.
