3 mark question that my dc insists is no it only correct but also adequate for the 3 available marks. I am crap at science (as in, not even got my gcse) & not the foggiest but it seems a little scant for a 3 marker so would appreciate some help.

It says use the data from the table above. Can you post a photo of the table of information?

Kazzyhoward · 07/02/2022 19:20

No, you're right, it's not adequate and the answer isn't correct. He's missed out an entire part of the question.

Vebrithien · 07/02/2022 19:20

I would say that you're missing information, probably on the previous page, about the oils. It says, use the table above

KatieKryptonite · 07/02/2022 19:21

Can you post more of the question, it's impossible to tell from your pic whether there's enough info in the calculation.

wantmorenow · 07/02/2022 19:22

Doesn't seem quite right - can you post the rest of the question as it refers to a table?

wantmorenow · 07/02/2022 19:40

Have found question paper and answer now - the wonderful power of google!

7.1 + 11.1 + 17.2 = 35.4% of Crude oil B (First 3 are the car fuels)

2000 x 35.5/100 = 708 kg

BUT, the first sentence in the question seems to be a typo as it's the same as the previous question.

Thank you & apologies but a minor debate turned into a major row so might have to leave this one for now (but now I see the answer it makes a lot more sense Grin)
