2y=10x-10

Is the intercept -10 or -5?

Thanks

-5

You need to rearrange it into the format y = mx + c

So divide both sides by 2 to give

y = 5x - 5

So gradient of 5, intercept of -5

Thank you so much - DD couldn't do it and I didn't have a clue!

If you aren't sure for these questions, then create a table of values and plot the line.

It's basically the value of y when x=0 if it's easier to understand that way.

So

2y = (10 x 0) - 10

y = -10/2

y = -5
