How much homework does your Y1 child get each week?
We are a homeschooling family. My step child is now five years old. Currently she only does thirty minutes of homework each week. We spend twenty minutes each night doing reading.
Additionally I ask her to do a math worksheet. Twice a month we focus on handwriting and spelling skills. I use a workbook for this. Some of the homework tasks are completed during class time.
Is that too much for her?
Lately I’ve been thinking I need to mix things up.
