My daughter came home with a letter saying we need to make a poster on 'perseverance' its asking to add a picture of a famous british person who has perservered....i dont know of any...winston churchill, probably, but i think everyone will do him!

How about some of the prominent women of the Suffragette movement? very timely too, given the forthcoming General Election in a few days. If those women didn't persevere I don't know who did

Isn't there tha famous story of Robert Bruce and the spider?

He'd all but given up the fight but watched a spider try again and again to buid a web across a gap. It eventually succeeded and inspired him to keep on going.
