Year 6 Maths Homework - What does this mean?

Write a number in each empty box so that the four numbers in each column are in order.

25 870
(empty box)
25 875
(empty box)

?????? I don't understand.

I think you have to put in a number that would be in between the two you have been given.

So:

25 870
25 872
25 875
25 876

You could have any from 25 871, 25 872, 25 873, 25 874 in the first box and any from 25 876 to infinity in the second box!
