Can anyone point me in direction of good spelling app for 8/9 year old. So many its impossible
to choose, need a recommendation. Need one where you put in your own words, not pre set. Also looking for a times table one too.

Squeebles! For both spelling and tables, and several other maths apps too. My 9 yo DS and my yr 4 class love them.

For the spelings you type in your words and can record yourself saying them too. They get rewarded with mini games.

I second squeebles - my 6/7 year olds love it.

I've bought 2 or 3 apps, and Squeebles is by far the best. Its design is appealing for children and it's easy to use too.

Squeebles is definitely what you want Grin

I love Alphabet Sounds. There are four levels of play and 4 activities within each level of play. Recommended. If you search the App Store for spelling apps you should definitely be able to find something that suits your needs.
