How do i help ds1 with his maths homework. He's struggling & i want to be able to support him to persevere.
Whats the best on-line resource I can read so I can give him some support.

I left school 25years ago & only got grade4 CSE so an idiots guide is needed please

I "borrow" my son's account on conquer maths so I know what I am doing before he needs help. Otherwise it gets a bit "blind leading thenblind".

Or there is Khan Academy, which is free.

if he does My maths I believe there are worked through examples on that.
BBC bite size might help.

DD1 swears by her CGP level 5-7 revision guise, but that means WHsmiths or Amazon and parting with money.

Thanks all, I'll have a look at the suggestions. He is level 6 (i think) but this last 6 months he has started to struggle. He seems to overcomplicate things?
Last night we had flying Maths books, a snapped ruler & tears.
He is so hard on himself.
I was telling him to leave it & give himself a break while he was getting more & more frustrated.

My kids use www.math-math-math.com which they seem to find useful.

Alternatively, another good site would be the bbc bitesize website.

Try both and see which you & the kids prefer!

Good luck!
