Anyone got a link to site[s] where we can buy science stuff. Electrical[batteries, holders, wires, bulbs, etc,] and chemicals, goggles etc.?
We got a couple of little kits from Maplins, but they are quite expensive and I want to stock up on materials as grandson is interested now.
We're looking to put lighting in some of our dioramas, just simple lighting circuits to start with.

www.rapidonline.com/ I particularly like rapid online and would recommend them highly. We found them ridiculously fast (ordered stuff late afteroon and it was with us the next morning and very reasonable.

I have also used all of these for various science bits and bobs -

www.philipharris.co.uk/default.aspx Philip Harris are good in that you can get almost anything sciency you would ever need from them, but I found them a bit more expensive and slower than rapid. They do good offers at the end of every season, though.
