I mentioned Home Ed to DN today and he was horrified. He said NO WAY will he do that as he won't have any friends (because of course a massive school full of several thousand teenagers is the best place ever for making friends...).

He has said he will read a book if I get it. Is there something that relates personal experiences that might inspire him?

Which area are you in? Can you try to find a local group and see if they have teen activities that you could go to over the summer? I'd suggest HESFes but that might be a bit much for him to start with.

Thanks. That book was recommended on a previous thread, it looks good.

SD, we're in Islington - I'm sure there is lots of stuff going on here, but I'm not sure I'll be able to persuade him to go along.

He's at that age where you only want to do things you're sure are cool because all your friends say they are.

I'll check out local activities though, thanks
