Looks from the website that it is in the same place as last year. Anyone going?

How does a newbie like myself find out about hesfes? I have no idea!

What is it like - the campsite I mean, toilets etc
Also does it remain noisy well into the night? Ds has aspergers and isnt great at routine changes or coping if he wants to sleep and others are being noisy!

The campsite in Kent where it is located is big.
Big enough to find a quieter area for your ds.
There are lots of children with Aspergers who are home educating as you have probably found out-and quite a few of them go to HesFes.

It can be noisy into the night-so you will have to pick your spot-right up the other end away from the Main Marquee (as their is live music on every night) and the teen area (which is always located somewhere near the marquee), I would think.

Toilets last year were grim-portaloos and a toilet block, the company employed to keep them clean didn't do their job well, but we have been assured it is a different company looking after them this year.

Otherwise nice big flat dry field.
Nice big river nearby.(I actually swam in it last year it was so hot!)
Walking distance to nearest town for supplies.

anything else I can help you with?

SDeuchars · 10/08/2010 20:39

The website is at www.hesfes.co.uk/ but the 2011 info won't be out for ages. I think under 18s need to be accompanied. Can you find some other adult from your area who would be happy to be your named adult?

chinque · 14/08/2010 08:46
