Sorry if you've already heard this, but I just found out about how shockingly Badman manipulated evidence and opinions provided to him by the Church of England Education Division.

Gah!

Badman was given a set of outcomes by the Govt at the start of this review. He wasn't interested in anything other than 'evidence' that backs the Govts desired outcome ie more control over HEers and ultimately a ban on HE in the UK.

It is a total disgrace, but hardly suprising with this Govt. Lets just hope that the Tories decide this is an issue worth fighting (and the more of us that write in and nag them about it, the more likely that is to happen).

I also think that although we all see Badman as the bogeyman, he is just the frontman for the Government. So the real bogeyman in the Government.

it varies mrswoolf. Some are behind us completely (Mark Field, yay!) others are a bit half-hearted 'we agree completely that these measures are too extreme for the unproven problem, but we aren't actually going to do anything for you'

Think the party line is: parental choice needs to balanced with childrens right to an education, we don't want to make any promises either way in case we get into power and have to go back on them.
