I'm not a Home Edder but originally came across this issue via a home ed group.
I had a letter from my children's independent school about Contact point informing me that they would be obliged to provide certain data for the contactpoint database but basically saying that an ain independent school they were against it and the ISC lobbied against it.
Now back in 2004 I wrote to my MP protesting againstthe Children's Act that was going through parliament that provided the legislation for this database. I was particualy against the flagging system as at the time we chose some alternative lifestyle options that could be contsrued as flags.
School is encouraging us to write to our MP's etc and I wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this now it is place and the information sharing. There is the secirity issue but I'm not sure if the flagging concerns thing is operational. Are there any campaignes amongst the home ed community.
