Tonight my husband asked about the reports I got after each of the 2 visits from the LEA home education person. I fished them out for him and also handed over a letter I hadn't sent to the school when ds2 tried school again last September, plus an A4 summary of why I had deregistered him and my comments about how he had improved since then.
He read the 2 reports and the letter, then started to hand back the papers to me. I asked directly if he had read the A4 sheet and he said no. So I had to ask him to read it as it was about his son. He wouldn't have done it otherwise.
Rant, rant, rant. Why don't people take the time to get the background information? If the father automatically reads only part of the info, then do doctors and ed psychs and anyone else just read the top sheet of a file?
