Nice article about home educating teens

here (linked to a book launch by the HE father who took his children on a Grand Tour by camper van. All very positive about - gasp - socialisation of HE children.

Just one sting in the tail. The last two sentences: "Lloyd was bound to be a great teacher; his children are fortunate. But perhaps the rest of us should be grateful for the professionals."

Sigh.

I'm not sure why he says 'Lloyd was bound to be a great teacher'. Does he know him? Is it because he ran an educational publishing business?

Agree that the rest of it was quite positive.
I do think that they are fortunate, though, to be able to take their children on a 4m trip around Europe.
