Anyone do Charlotte Mason?

Hi, am thinking about home-edding DS (nearly 3) - we won't be starting for ages yet so am researching lots of different options.

I came across Charlotte Mason a couple of weeks ago and it looks great - was just wondering if anyone else out there has any experience of it.

i am not 100% sure but, i think that charlotte mason is more of a classical approach to HEing, and if so you can try ambleside online which i know a lot of people like, we do quite a classical approach, but we use it as a basis and expand on it and have added in bits here and there, that she likes and left out what she does not like

the structuredhomeeducation.freeforum.org has a section on charlotte mason and other approaches as well, and there are lots of mums on there who HE who you can ask. hope it helps

Thanks mumtoo3. I did find amblesideonline, which is really good, but everyone is American! Apparenly CM's approach is much bigger over there, even though she's English. It's still helpful of course, but was just wondering if there was anyone with experience closer to home.

It does seem like CM is a good balance between classical and less formal approaches, at least for the first 6 years when she doesn't recommend any formal schooling at all, just that kids have the opportunity to be outside as much as possible (plus loads more, obviously, but that's the gist).
