Homeschooling groups

Hi, we have started homeschooling this month. We have a 13 year old girl and 11 year old boy. We live in Christchurch, Dorset and are looking for other homeschoolers that perhaps our two children could meet? They have lessons Mon-Thursday but Fridays are more flexible. Our daughter in particular is very shy and would really benefit from the socialisation. Many thanks :)

There are local groups in most areas, and nearly all of them communicate via Facebook these days. The best way to find them is to go onto the Facebook search bar and type "home education" followed by the name of your area or nearest city. For example, I see one in Ringwood/Fordingbridge, one for Bournmouth/Poole, and one for all of Dorset - there are probably others as well but if you join one or two of those, you can ask on there about which is best for you in Christchurch. People travel around for activities in nearby areas, so somebody is bound to know someone close to you in order to point you in the right direction!
