Hi guys
Homeschooling my daughter shes just started yr11 ,just would love some advice on best websites , gcse providers , which text books are the best to buys etc etc..... all the basics on where best to start any tips big or small really welcome x thanku inadvance x

Join the face book groups HEFA home education for all and UK Exams & Alternatives there’s loads of infor and a wiki link off them. Good luck

I agree with @SeptConkers : the Facebook groups have much more traffic than this board, and there's a multitude of specific FB home ed groups. For example, there is one for people who are doing English Language (I)GCSE without tutors or online schools, which I found useful. You'll also want to join a local home ed Facebook group. They may have social and educational events you will enjoy. If you go along to anything in person, you will have ample opportunity to pick the brains of the other parents of teens about all the details of GCSEs. There is a lot to know, but people are very helpful! They can also tell you about local exam centres, and if your daughter wants an in-person tutor they may have recommendations. Many areas will have some in-person tutor-led study groups where six or eight HE teens get together with a tutor to prepare together for a particular exam. To find a local group, go to the FB search bar and type "home education" followed by the name of your county or area or nearest city. Let us know if you need any help to find something!
