Good Y7 maths and English course books

I'm posting this on here as well as under secondary education, as perhaps you home ed-ers might have some more insight on the best books to use.

I'm looking for good Y7 maths and English course books, to keep my son up to UK standard as we live abroad. They need to have full explanations, not just questions for revision, as I will be going through the books with him and I'm not a trained teacher. I have come across books by Letts, CGP and Collins but without buying them, it's difficult to know which one is the most comprehensive. Is there a particular book that you recommend?

We have used the CGP and Collins but my daughter prefers the CGP books. You could also look at Oak Academy who offer online lessons for free - great range for Maths and English topics.

CGP books are good.
You could also sign up to Twinkl and get specific Y7 content to print from there too. As well as the one a PP has recommended, Oak Academy.
BBC website has stuff tailored to the curriculum too.

Thank you AlwaysGrateful and Picturethispatsy, I'll look up those sites you've mentioned, and thanks for the book recommendations. I think I'll order the cgp books.
