Wendover Online School

I’ve seen a couple of posters on here recommend Wendover Online School and the small classes of between 3 and 6 children look interesting.

Im wondering if anyone has used this for Year 8 or Year 9 on here. I’ve seen posts for GCSE and A-Levels but not lower down.

Its not cheap but I think I may prefer it to Minerva and Kings due to smaller class sizes.

I looked at the timetable though and its back to back lessons from 8am to 12:00 with 10 min breaks between classes. There’s no formal break time as such. Lessons are finished by 13:10 though with just half an hour for lunch.

i quite like this as it’s all finished by close to 1pm but I’m not sure how this compares to other timetables.

Is it normal to have no break?

Would anyone know if there are any meet ups?

Self study can be a break if they choose to do any homework/study at another time surely?

And 10 min between lessons is plenty for loo and drink/snack when they don't have to queue for either like regular school.

No sorry I don't know anything about that particular school - know a bit about another couple of them.

I am considering online school for my DD for GCSE’s. Does anyone know anything about Cambridge home school online?

Hi @Blackthorne

We are also keen on the sound of Wendover but have the same sort of questions as you. I love the idea of the smaller class sizes for my child but really keen to hear more reviews. Our child is a few years younger.

Would really appreciate update if you do find out more.

Thanks!
