To all the HE parents who take the time to give advice to those considering HE. (and to the OPs of the threads, of course!)

As I have to work and am single mum, I had given up on HE for now, but reading stuff on here has persuaded me to push harder to find ways I can pull it off. This summer will be the big test for me as Im going to do it full time (well 4 days a week when im off work) and Im looking into costs of childcare and possibility of flexi-schooling.

At the minute, and co-op childcare thing with a friend means I dont pay for childcare (low-ish wage job-no point in working if I have to pay for childcare) BUT the system we have wont work if dd not in school 9-2 most of the year..

Anyway, no real questions yet, just a thank you and now an apology for the ramble there!

Lmccrean, so pleased that you now have the information to consider your options and choose what is best for your family at this time.

have you found the single parents HE list?
" This list is for single parents who are home educating or considering home education for their families. Whilst there is a 'general' email list for home educators, sometimes single parents face unique problems. This list is to allow single parents to offer support, experience and information relating to their situation."
