A-level physics practical endorsement

Anyone know of any centres within the following areas that can offer the practical endorsement for A-level physics at a decent rate:

  • Leamington Spa
  • Coventry
  • Birmingham
  • Buckinghamshire
  • Hertfordshire (Watford area)
  • West London (or within easy commuting distance)
  • Manchester

I've gotten quite a few prospective leads by doing the following:

  • Using the school finder on the government website and emailing some of the local schools on there for leads
  • Contacting the elective home education (EHE) departments at nearby local authorities for leads
  • Sending FOI requests to various UK universities and seeing if they can provide me with the names of any centres used for the practical endorsement by any of their recent successful mature applicants
  • Contacting centres listed on the JCQ website
  • Contacting centres listed on the HE Exams wiki

From what I have read on the HE Exams wiki, even if a place that has the requisite facilities, equipment and supervision isn't registered for the practical endorsement, so long as your arrangements are signed off by the exam board, that should suffice, right?

Cheapest places I've found thus far have been in Birmingham, all of which charge an average of £600.

DD studied through Interhigh and took her practicals at Reddam House School Wokingham during one of their half terms. Might be worth emailing Interhigh to see if they can cater for external students. It cost a couple of hundred and we stayed at a local TRavelodge (transport for students was arranged).

Tutors and Exams run the practical endorsements for A level Science students. They have a centre in Coventry.

Good news everyone, I found a local centre that can offer me the 12 practicals for £540 and the exams for £300.
