Hi All. I have just rented a cottage for a couple of months and it has a gas AGA, 2 oven. No other cooker. I'm terrified to try and light it (because it's gas) but the cottage is very old and quite chilly so we could do with the additional warmth, as well as needing something to cook in other than a microwave.
The instruction manual says GC models with AIMS but there is no handset.
Can anyone reassure me that they are easy to use and that it's worth lighting it to get the extra warmth - will it cost a fortune to keep in on all the time? Can I keep it on a low setting?
Any help or advice would be so appreciated - there's plenty of info about how to cook in it but not much about how to light it and whether to keep it on all the time.
