I am going to be home educating
My dd from September. She has asd and an ehcp, I’ve heard I can’t home ed if she has an ehcp? Also where do I get started and are there any groups anyone can recommend as it’s all new to me! Thanks

You can EHE but the LA are likely to say they are relieved of their duties as you are providing suitable alternative arrangements. Very few parents get a personal budget when EHE.

If DD is currently attending a SS you need to ask for consent DD to be deregistered but that is just a formality and permission should not be unreasonably refused.

However, have you thought of other alternatives such as EOTAS?

She’s not in a Special school she is in mainstream. I will look into EOTAS.
