Hi everyone

I've been searching for where to start and am being presented with loads of USA based websites.

Could anyone recommend a couple of starting points?

Thank you!

I'd start with the main home ed charities, run by current and former home educators. Then follow links and have a browse.

For England and Wales, Education Otherwise and Home Education UK:
www.educationotherwise.org/
www.home-education.org.uk/

Scotland, SchoolHouse:
www.schoolhouse.org.uk/

Northern Ireland, HEdNI:
hedni.org/

For discussion, most home ed forums are on Facebook these days. If you go on FB and type into the search bar "home education" followed by the name of your city or county or the nearest big city, you should be able to find a local home ed group. Going along and chatting in person can be a quick way to learn more. However, bear in mind that as with all social groups, you might have to try several to find the people whose approach makes sense to you - don't assume that all home educators are like the ones you meet at the first group you visit!
