IGCSE Computer Studies

My autistic son is currently on a reduced timetable in school studying core subjects to GCSE with tutors. His EHCP should be agreed in the next couple of months and school are indicating that they may be able to fund an online course for him to take a GCSE in computer studies. Up to now he has refused to do any learning at home due to his very fixed thinking but is willing to do this subject because "the school computers are rubbish!"

Does anyone have any recommendations of the best online facility to use? He will struggle with online interaction so I'm looking for engaging tutors and good reputation for exam results.

Because of his refusal to consider learning at home up to now I know very little about the resources available so would really value advice. Thank you.

Learntec is the major one of choice for home educators as the tutor is a home educator and gets HE issues, but she fills up fast for Sept. There is a self led option.
Teachallaboutit is another option that's run by a home educator tutor but I don't know anyone personally who has used it.
Where would be sit the exams? Most courses geared for home educators will be for Cambridge IGCSE because the assessment is 100% written exams and therefore easier to find an exam centre. If he's going to be sitting exams at his school they may not be registered for Cambridge (CAIE) exams. So check this first. There are courses for other boards but you might need to shop around and some arrangements will need to be made between school and tutor regards practical assessments.
